Description:

The Contract Administrator – Special Programs position requires knowledge of, or the ability to comprehend and apply contract development and management. This role supports large, complex contracts, and all aspects of contract compliance and completion. This position supports coordination of all activities performed by L.N. Curtis & sons (Curtis) and supplier personnel required to fulfill the statement of work (i.e., on-time and on-budget).


Pay Range: $21.63 - $28.85 / hour


Duties and Responsibilities to include:

  • Coordinate and support the day-to-day planning, coordination, and oversight of all assigned project/contract activities.
  • Develop strong customer relationships and engage collaboratively within internal and external functional organizations (i.e., functional staff managers, sales group, DLA, and suppliers).
  • Collect input from key members within the organization, including suppliers, as may be required by contract/project requirements.
  • Support the preparation for and participation in scheduled meetings and other meetings as required by contract.
  • Maintain updated contract-related documentation (i.e., supplier quotes, submitted bids, support documents and periodic status reports).
  • Support the Manager's efforts to plan, prepare for other duties as assigned by management to address and provide effective support of company mission, values, and goals.

Additionally, the Contract Administrator will provide support to the Manager's various efforts in support of the Company's Continuous Improvement Program to include:

  • Identify and provide specific recommendations for improvement, e.g., process redesign, or policy changes.

Skills Required

  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Experience Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in project management, preferably in the Department of Defense / FAR and DFAR environments.
  • Experience working with subcontractors and suppliers (preparing and releasing requests for quotes, awarding orders, tracking performance).
