Threat Tec is seeking highly qualified candidates to join our Defense Fusion Division (RFD) Team in support of the Special Operations Command South (SOCSOUTH), Directorate of Operations Program Support (DOPS). As a member of the RFD Team, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, synchronizing, executing, supporting, and monitoring all U.S. military Joint Special Operations throughout the assigned region, including SOCSOUTH Forward Commands and related regional special operations campaigns.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, synchronize, execute, support, and monitor all U.S. military Joint Special Operations throughout the assigned region.
  • Assist SOCSOUTH in overseeing the management of SOF missions and deployments, providing expertise on various aspects of special operations.
  • Review command policies, set priorities, prepare work schedules, and identify and solve problems to ensure effective division operations.
  • Prioritize daily workload and develop and complete RFD work assignments and tasks in their entirety as required.
  • Assist in managing, monitoring, and coordinating RFD task efforts, resolving significant issues as they arise.
  • Track all current operations, identify effects, and submit routine SITREP inputs to inform command leadership of ongoing activities and strategic implications.
  • Provide guidance on deploying force structure, security assistance, training, exercises, and combat development of Joint Special Operations Forces (SOF) in support of USSOUTHCOM missions and directives.
  • Conduct coordination, synchronization, and integration with AOBs, SOCSOUTH directorates, and Force Providers to ensure regional plans and activities are executed effectively.
  • Maintain situational awareness on SOF deployments by monitoring the Automated Message Handling System (AMHS) and updating the RFD website.
  • Coordinate with Force Providers, U.S. Embassies, Security Cooperation Offices, and other interagency communities to formulate Special Operations Forces plans and missions.
  • Travel on temporary duty trips throughout the area of operations to discuss RFD positions/guidance and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Assist in maintaining a long-range calendar for SOF activities within respective regions and assist in the development of operational orders (OPORDs) and Fragmented Orders (FRAGOs) as required.
  • Prepare executive summaries, reports, information papers, and briefings for various audiences.
  • Serve as a lead contributor for joint operational planning in Joint Planning Groups (JPGs) and Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) based on regional expertise and operational planning capacity.
  • Review all regionally-relevant message traffic and provide daily summaries to RFD Chief.
  • Submit weekly SITREPs, storyboards, and morning Update Brief slides with high accuracy.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 10 years prior military experience, with experience working in a SOF headquarters required.
  • 3 years of experience within the USSOUTHCOM AOR.
  • Ability to obtain a current SECRET security clearance; ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance within 120 days of hire.
  • Strong understanding of special operations concepts and missions, including Building Partner Capacity (BPC), Civil Affairs (CA), Psychological Operations (PSYOP), Counter Terrorism (CT), Counter Drug (CD), and Counter Transnational Organized Crime (CTOC).
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Willingness to travel CONUS and OCONUS as required.
