About the Job
The Department of Medicine is seeking general internists to serve as clinician/educators in the Division of General Internal Medicine at the University of Minnesota. These positions will work in the Primary Care Center in the M Health Clinics and Surgery Center as faculty appointments.
The clinical duties may involve limited evenings and weekend hours in addition to weekdays , along with virtual care and limited on-call duties.
Educational responsibilities will include teaching of medical students and residents. In addition, there are opportunities to participate in quality improvement, interdisciplinary collaboration, and other scholarly activities.
The candidate will have a commitment to clinical/QI/educational scholarship; advancement within the institution will depend on demonstration of clinical and scholarly achievement. The division has a mentoring program for all faculty appointments to support them in their clinical, educational and scholarship pursuits.
