The Community Behavioral Health Hospital (CBHH) in Alexandria, MN is seeking a compassionate, person centered Clinical Social Worker to join our team. Operated by the Minnesota Department of Human Services, CBHH is a small (16-bed) inpatient psychiatric facility for adults experiencing acute mental health episodes. The length of stay is usually less than 60 days, during which treatment focuses on rapid assessment and stabilization for adults experiencing an acute mental health episode.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide integrated mental health care and social work services to patients
  • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Provide evidence-based crisis intervention psychotherapy as an independent practitioner
  • Facilitate patient and family education as well as weekly group therapy
  • Maintain appropriate and effective relations with community providers
  • Prepare aftercare plans that outlines the clients course through treatment and needs/resources in the community
  • Facilitate active treatment team meetings


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications
  • Have a Master's degree in Social Work; AND
  • Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota at the independent clinical level (LICSW); AND
  • Have at least three (3) years of post-graduate degree experience providing clinical services to include individual and group therapy.

OR
  • Have a Doctorate degree in Social Work (DSW or PhD); AND
  • Be licensed or eligible for licensure in the state of Minnesota at the independent clinical level (LICSW)
