Job Posting Closing on: Friday, December 8, 2023 Standard shift hours for this position is Monday through Friday, 7:00AM to 4:00PM with a one hour lunch break. Occasional over-time may occur to address major facility emergencies that would warrant after-hour troubleshooting and/or response. A Skilled Trades Tech I job is available with the City of Fort Worth Aviation Dept. at the Meacham International Airport Administration Building. The City of Fort Worth Aviation system is home to three world-class airports - Meacham International, Spinks and Perot Field. Both Meacham International and Spinks Airports provide regional aviation services for air charter, corporate, business and recreational flyers. Perot Field Fort Worth Alliance Airport provides cargo carrier services. The airports feature full-service fuelers, multiple maintenance facilities, flight schools, on-site rental car facilities, and hotel facilities only minutes away. Working Conditions Depending on assignment, positions in this class typically require touching, talking, hearing, seeing, grasping, standing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, walking, repetitive motions, climbing, balancing, pushing, pulling and lifting; depending on assignment. Incumbents may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, odors, dusts, poor ventilation, chemicals, oils, extreme temperatures, inadequate lighting, intense noises, gases, vibrations, chemicals, oils and workspace restrictions. Physical Demand Heavy Work - Depending on assignment, position in this class typically exert up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly having to move objects.
