Position Overview We are seeking a compassionate master's level clinician to join us in enhancing our continuum of care within the scope of our mental health service programs. Opportunity will involve a dual focus providing short and long term therapy at the Mental Health Services clinic located at Children's hospital in St. Paul.
Department Overview The Psychological Services department provides services on both the Minneapolis and St. Paul campuses. Specific services include individual and family therapy, psychological assessment, neuropsychological assessment, and inpatient consultation and liaison. We also have pediatric psychologists embedded in a number of specialty clinics. Annually, we care for over 2,200 children with a primary reason for a visit related mental health concern in our two emergency departments, and complete 23,000+ outpatient visits in our behavioral health clinics. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities Ability to manage competing demands in a fast-paced clinic or hospital environment. Willingness to work under appropriate clinical supervision. Exhibits a high degree of professionalism, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work collaboratively. Ability to assess and provide intervention services to children and adolescents in acute crisis / experiencing suicidal ideation. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
