POSITION SUMMARY

Under limited supervision, the Training Engineer II is responsible for the delivery and development of technical training and support to MEAU customers, distributors, and personnel on a variety of Mitsubishi Industrial Automation products.

POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions

· Provide technical training to customers, OEMs, dealers, end-users, and other MEAU personnel with an emphasis on PLC, VFD, Motion, HMI and CNC

· Develop and maintain technical training materials for Mitsubishi Industrial Automation products with guidance and input from the Sr. Training Engineer

· Coordinate and conduct onsite end-use training for Mitsubishi Industrial Automation equipment including:

- Transport and setup of equipment at customer locations

- Safely disassemble and repackage equipment for proper transportation and storage

· Utilize Salesforce and other tools to perform discoveries

· Assist MEAU Sales department, customers and distributors as needed

· May be required to follow other job-related instructions and perform additional duties as assigned

Supervisory / Management Responsibilities

· None

Travel Requirements

· Up to 60% travel based on customer demand, primarily with the United States

· Limited travel to Canada and / or Mexico may be required

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience

· Minimum of 2 years in a training role or similar

· Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

· Experience in manufacturing and/or distribution

· Background in PLCs, VFDs, HMIs, Robot, CNC and Networking

· Previous experience teaching adult learners

PHYSICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, COGNITIVE REQUIREMENTS

· Must be physically able to travel, including the ability to:

- Sit for extended periods of time for the purposes of travel

- Operate a motor vehicle for both short and long distances

- Fly via commercial flights, both nationally and internationally as needed

· Ability to lift 100 pounds frequently for activities such as moving equipment to and from pallets

· Ability to move about the MEAU plant and other facilities with or without a reasonable accommodation

· Strong mechanical and technical aptitude with the ability to learn and master the use of MEAU IA equipment

· Ability to navigate and participate on a team and in a multi-department environment

· Ability to actively prioritize tasks with limited direction

· Flexible work style with the ability to navigate changing priorities
