Every day, more architects, engineers, contractors, developers, and owners specify Wells precast building components for their construction needs and with this continued success, we are looking to hire a motivated self-starting Operations Coordinator to join our team. The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn.

General Description: The Operations Coordinator is responsible for supporting various facets of our operations, human resources, and safety departments to ensure smooth functioning and adherence to regulatory standards.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operations Support:


  • Assist in coordinating daily operational activities, including inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics coordination.

  • Collaborate with different departments to streamline processes and optimize efficiency.

  • Generate reports and analyze data to identify areas for improvement in operational workflows.



HR Assistance:


  • Support HR functions such as recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding processes.

  • Maintain employee records and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures.

  • Assist in organizing employee training sessions and employee engagement initiatives.



Safety Compliance:


  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and address safety concerns.

  • Assist in the development of safety policies and procedures and ensure employee awareness and adherence.



Administrative Duties:


  • Provide administrative support to various departments, including scheduling meetings, client engagement, preparing documents, and handling correspondence.

  • Maintain organized filing systems and ensure accurate documentation of operational, HR, and safety records.

  • Assist in budget tracking and expense management for relevant departments.



EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:


  • Previous experience in a manufacturing or construction environment, with exposure to operations, HR, and/or safety functions, is highly desirable.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and experience with HRIS and ERP systems preferred.

  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and an initiative-taking attitude towards problem-solving.



PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for typing, filing, and using office equipment.

  • Visual acuity and ability to read small print.

  • Hearing acuity and ability to communicate effectively with others.

  • Ability to lift and move office supplies and equipment.

  • Mobility and ability to move around the office as needed.



WORKING CONDITIONS:


  • Moderate risk of exposure to unusual elements.

  • Moderate risk of safety precautions.

  • General office environment with moderate exposure to the production environment.
