This individual will work hand-in-hand with operational departments to schedule preventative maintenance work ensuring service work is complete and documented. When breakdowns occur, the incumbent is responsible to ensure that equipment is back in service as soon as possible.

Qualified candidates:

MUST be proficient in reading/interpreting repair manuals, blueprints and schematics.

MUST have strong use of hand and power tools.

MUST be familiar with industrial piping threading and Victaulic grooving and assemblies.


The job tasks include:

  • Reads repair documents, manuals, blueprints, and schematic drawings to determine work procedures.
  • Assist with machines using manual, hydraulic, pneumatic, and precision tools of the trade.
  • Assembles and installs equipment such as shafting, bearings, conveyors, and tram rails, using hand and power tools.
  • Perform hydraulic system repair and troubleshoot die-related equipment problems.
  • Responsible for the safety, oiling, greasing and cleaning of all machines and equipment.
Requirements:

Must possess:

  • Knowledge and ability to use computer programs.
  • Ability to use all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches, all Pipe fitting tools and equipment.
  • Ability to operate mobile equipment, cranes, and forklifts.
  • Ability to set-up, tear down, and rebuild machinery and equipment.
  • Must have own basic tools/toolbox.
  • Ability to use all sizes of air impact and electric wrenches.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical.
  • Good mechanical aptitude in order to diagnose and repair equipment in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • High School diploma; vocational or trade school preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • At least 2-4 years' experience working in a manufacturing/warehouse environment.
  • Must be able to do simple math.
  • Must be mechanically inclined with hands-on experience.
  • Boiler's License preferred but not required.
  • Must be able to read, write and speak English.
