The successful candidate will be responsible for sales of corporate products to business and industrial establishments over the telephone and internet. The Inside Sales Manager will maintain accounts and conduct day-to-day activities to keep customers satisfied. Daily activities include phone and internet correspondence with customers and vendors; source custom, non standard, value added solutions to customer problems; enter all sales orders and purchase orders into the computer system; and set up part numbers and manage contract files. Interaction with business partners is critical in this role as the Inside Sales Manager must collaborate with Outside Account managers and Value Stream Leads to ensure timely order placement and delivery.
In addition, the Inside Sales Manager will lead the CSR team in the branch. Managing the workflow, schedule, sick call coverage, task delegations, training and all customer service-related escalations. The Inside Sales Manager will be responsible for pricing/margin review and approvals along with providing directional leadership to the CSR team.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Sell industrial and hydraulic hose and gasket products and maintain customer accounts
  • Take orders on the phone and internet
  • Enter orders and product quotes into the computer system
  • Emphasize salable features, quotes prices and credit terms and prepares sales orders for orders obtained
  • Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and inventory
  • Prepares reports of business transactions in company database
  • Work with account managers to keep account activities up to date
  • Works with warehouse team to ensure timely production and deliver of orders
  • Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries
  • Monitor CSR team workflow and re-distributing if necessary
  • Review and approve pricing/margin on quotes and sales orders
  • Ability to lead a team of branch CSR's

Education & Experience

  • 5plus years related experience and/or training; or Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from a four-year college or university; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to successfully function in a fast paced, high volume environment utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, etc.
  • Knowledge of industrial/hydraulic hose and gasket industry required
