Job Description: YRCI is seeking a full-time HR Specialist, Associate (Retirement and Benefits) to support our Human Resources Remote Operations Center (HRROC™), located in Reston, VA. YRCI's HRROC™ is a Shared Service Center that supports multiple Federal agencies and offers a friendly, collaborative team environment with access to training from industry experts! Although the YRCI home office is located in Reston, VA, this position is fully remote. Duties: Process Personnel Actions (Standard Form (SF) 52s) in compliance with Office of Personnel Management (OPM) and National Finance Center (NFC) rules and procedures, processes, separations, retirements, reassignment, removals, suspensions, Leave Without Pay (LWOP) (military and workers comp), return to duty, awards, cash awards, Time Off Award (TOA) and Quality Step Increase (QSI). Process actions impacting employee pay, such as updating Service Computation Dates (SCD), changes and corrections to insurance elections, and retirement code correction. Process benefit documents, Federal Employee Group Life Insurance (FEGLI), Federal Employee Health Benefits (FEHB), Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), and beneficiary forms; certifies and reviews, benefits forms for proper coding, signatures, and effective dates, in accordance with FEGLI, FEHB handbook and Guide to Processing Personnel Actions (GPPA). Scan/upload processed documents into electronic Official Personnel Folder (eOPF) system and administer password resets; Accurately reflect results of the personnel actions and processes. Order eOPF and review for accuracy of SCD and Veterans’ Preference; calculate SCD in the retirement calculator and separation packages. Request eOPF for the transfer in and release of employees; process RI20-124 for Law Enforcement time. Respond to employee inquiries through email and HC Link tickets; advise programs on forms to on-board new and transferring employees to Agency; generate and distribute reports on employee rosters. Prepare Administratively Uncontrollable Overtime (AUO) and Leap certification letter for processing, Suspension letter for coding authority and remarks, and History Correction Process (HCUP) Corrections. Research discrepancies with benefits, Veterans’ Preference, and SCDs.
