Position Summary
Working closely with the Associate AD for External Operations, the Director of Marketing and Fan Engagement will provide leadership and strategic direction for the marketing and fan engagement unit within Athletics. This position will be responsible for developing marketing plans for revenue generation sports, leading game entertainment at home
Viking Athletics events, lead all on-campus and student marketing initiatives, as well as the coordination of community engagement, outreach activities, and advertising that promotes Viking Athletics. This position will also oversee the mascot program, spirit squads, and robust student street team.

Salary is dependent on several factors, and new employees will typically start around the Q1 level to allow for later growth within the salary band.
PSU has a structured process for determining starting compensation, taking into account years of related experience, applicable skills, knowledge and abilities, market parity, and internal equity. The starting annual salary for this position will be between $43,512 – $48,500, but may be negotiated above this rate dependent upon the factors above, the budget of the hiring department, and approval from HR.
An excellent benefits package includes 95% employer-paid health insurance premiums (employees and eligible dependents) and significantly reduced tuition rates for employees and eligible dependents at any of the Oregon Public Universities. After completing six full months employees are eligible to choose between our two employer-paid pension programs in addition to two voluntary retirement programs.
