  • Actively engage with prospective students, parents, and the community through telephone, email, virtual opportunities, and other channels to promote the university and program offerings
  • Review admissions files for transfer/freshman applications for determination of admissibility in accordance with university policies and procedures
  • Maintain accurate records of applicant information, communication, and admissions decisions within our university system and internal tracking process.
  • Conduct outreach to applicants to verify any application issues, including discrepancies or missing information
  • Evaluate transcripts for admissions and transferability of college credits
  • Respond to student inquiries regarding the admission process and procedures and the transferability of credit and related academic information.
  • Attend recruitment activities as assigned, including college fairs, school visits, and information sessions
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Transfer Admissions Coordinator

Minimum Qualifications

Education
Bachelors degree preferred
Experience
One (1) year of experience with student admissions in a college/university environment preferred; especially with transfer students
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
• Work patiently and supportively with prospective students, applicants and their families
• Excellent interpersonal and phone skills • Great organizational skills
• Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Microsoft Word and Excel required
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service
• Ability to collect and analyze data relate to students admissions and recruitment
Conditions of Employment
Travel in and out of state, evening, and weekend hours will be required
