Responsibilities

Utilizes the Materials Management Information System per department policies and procedures.

Utilizes a hand-held inventory device within assigned storage areas.

Accurately picks all items requested.

Matches the requisition with the supplies picked to ensure the accuracy of the shipment.

Maintains par levels in designated areas.

Participates in periodic departmental meeting between department managers and their staff for continued improvements of unit pars and templates.

Maintains integrity of all pars and templates for assigned customers/departments.

Demonstrates attention to detail and high degree of transactional and data entry accuracy.

Answers calls for supply and equipment needs from end user departments in a timely manner.

Meets required customer deadlines and provides timely feedback.

Communicates effectively with others.

Stores incoming Distribution Center and vendor supplies in appropriate locations.

Inventories and delivers stock and non-stock supplies and equipment to proper end user departments.

Initiates requests for rental beds and equipment for customers and ensures required forms and data is logged appropriately.

Examines supplies and equipment for damage and defects and takes appropriate action.

When inventorying or stocking, rotates stock, checks for outdated supplies and removes any outdated supplies per department policies and procedures.

Maintains assigned areas in a clean, organized, efficient and safe manner.

Performs cycle counts and physical inventories as directed.

Assist in the orientation and training of new employees.

Processes credits and charges for departments as needed.

Packages and ships all outgoing shipments accurately and completes all necessary documentation.

Matches vendor packing slips with supplies and equipment ensuring the accuracy of the shipments received.

Accurately delivers supplies and equipment to assigned areas.

Maintains refrigerator temperatures and tissue logs as indicated by Legacy policy.

Examines supplies and equipment for damage and defects and takes appropriate action internally and with carriers.

Attends all department in-service sessions as scheduled.

Provides feedback and data to management and customers for the purpose of cost reduction, problem resolution, process streamlining and improved customer service.

Utilizes the Material Management Information System per department policies and procedures.

Safely uses the following equipment:

Electric Pallet Jack

Manuel Pallet Jack

Standard Hand Truck

Barrel Hand Truck



Qualifications

Education:

High school diploma or GED required.

Experience:

Warehouse, inventory, and medical supply experience preferred. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and other computer applications in a network setting.

Skills:

Demonstrated customer service orientation.

Must be able to do simple mathematical calculations

Must be able to perform simple computer tasks.

Must possess good organizational skills.

Ability to speak, read and write English effectively.

Excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.

Ability to work with a wide variety of people in a professional and effective manner.

Ability to work under pressure of deadlines.

Able to work independently.
